Rowdy Pin Traders Booted From New Hampshire Mall

What a weekend!!!

You read it right......we were kicked out of the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua New Hampshire today at a pin meet.

Jeff who organized the pin meet had called and spoke to administration of the mall about the pin meet today and was told no problem. Apparently, the person he spoke to never told the weekend crew OR informed security. When security came, a couple of people got a little excited, the police were called, someone from administration came and we were out of there. We hadn't even unpacked our pin bags. Seriously, no one was acting up, the mall security just didn't want us there. Guess they got a little skitish when they saw all these pople walking through the mall with rolling suitcases.

We ended up going 20 minutes south to the Burlington Mall in Massachusetts. Not everyone decided to come but those of us who did....still had fun.

I made some great trades and received a special pin from Nat. Thank you again Nat, for making my day!

Forgot to say thanks to Jeff for organizing!! I had a great time and made lots of trades!!

Yes, "getting a little excited" is always very effective with police and security people.

I can't think of anything more dastardly than Disney addicts with pins! Lord only knows what may have happened in that mall. Somone may have gotten a Holy Grail and shouted loud enough to bring the roof down.

Sounds like an interesting Sunday for pin people in retail environments. Lauri was at the local Wal-Mart when a small section of the ceiling collapsed under the weight of a bunch of water.

If there's a nationwide alert to all mall security to watch for Disney pin collectors, I'm sure Jeff and/or Ed were responsible for it.

What I'm surprised is that two moderators from two different pin boards (Nat from here and Kathie from dizneypins) were there and didn't show the mall security their official internet board moderator identification and let them know everything was under control?

Don't look at me.... I was working till 2... By the time I left work everyone was heading to Burlington. That is my story and I am sticking to it....

Nat is right....he hadn't arrived yet. But we called him and made sure he was at the next mall just in case.

Vince, Suzi, Lisa ansd I had just arrived when all this took place. We hadn't even unpacked our bags yet!!!

Seems they took one look at us and said, "They're Outta Here!!"

Of course.....Dom was already there. Must have been him.

Randy was eating...of course....and sat there patiently and did not move until he was completely done his meal. Oh well I like Burlington better any ways. I like the stores there much more than the Nashua mall.

Does Burlington Mall still have a Disney Store? The Legal Seafood Restaurant there is soooo good!

Burlington does have a Disney Store with very nice Cast members. We did help the NH economy.

I love Legal Seafood. There is also a Rain Forest Cafe there.

I was looking forward to my first ever pin swapping event but did not make it to the mall till after everyone had left I did not know that it had been moved to burlington I was wondering if anything has been talked about regarding another event since this event had some troubles with it looking forward to hearing and will watch the boards for more info

A few people that were at the Nashua Mall decided NOT to come to Burlington. Those of us that did make it had a good time.
