Route Suggestions

We are leaving on Thursday from Dallas, TX heading for FW. I think that we are going to take I-20 to Meridian, MS then 45 down to I-10 to 1-75.

Any thought?

With Katrina going through that area right now, I am concerned about how the roads are going to be in that area.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think I-10 from Mobile east is OK, but try and listen to traffic reports, and drop by the State-run rest stops and ask and attendant before you get on US 45 and head South.

You could take I-20 all the way to Atlanta, then hit I-75 there.

You could also take I-20 to Cuba (right on the Alabama/Mississippi border), then take US 80 into Montgomery, then take US 231 through Dothan down to I-10.
