route from Valdosta to Boardwalk

We had found a shortcut route on here to avoid the turnpikes and now can't find it, can someone help??

Google maps says 75 to 91 to 4.

Mapquest says 75 to 328 to 429.

Which is better and how much should we have ready for tolls?

I can't remember the actual cost but I would go with I-75 - Florida Turnpike - 429. This past December when we drove down the morning we left Valdosta and put in the Boardwalk address on our naivgation system, the route I mentioned was the one it told us to take and it always gives us the fastest one each time.

There is no practical way to avoid the Turnpike if you're coming from I-75. I think what you're thinking of is avoiding I-4. And you do that by using TOLL 429 off the Turnpike. The toll on the Turnpike is $2.50 and and another $1.25 on TOLL 429. By the way, Florida's Turnpike is SR 91 but that route number is hidden and you'll only see shields with the Turnpike logo on it.
