That is really good to know. I'll be able to eat the chicken (and I think I saw someone say that you can get salmon as an option as well?) and sides, and my wife and son will be able to eat everything; so we do want the food to be good!
The chicken had a great smokey flavor. I would compare it to that of Sebastian's Bistro if you've gone. (In terms of comparable quality and not flavors)

yep, I'm not sure where I can get good mac and cheese. I even tried the one at chicken guy and I couldn't not eat it. Everything else is bomb there though. I absolutely love that place so I was bummed their mac and cheese was meh
Oh I actually like the chicken guy mac n cheese more than the chicken. I do think the first time I went there I got some bad pieces of chicken, they were really thin and dry. But I've had the mac a few times and liked it.

Just from pics and videos, the Slinky Doooooooooog mc n cheese looks like not enough cheese sauce.

I wanted to love it, but I think the cheese sauce got cold fast and it was very mushy, it wasn't bad per se, but just wished it stayed hotter for longer. I think something similar happened when I asked for a side of the cheese sauce, it clogged too fast

Unironically the best I've had on property was from Gasparilla Island Grill, the QS over at the GF. It's super cheesy.

I have a 2:55 RR on our park day. DD doesn't care anything about the theming, but likes the menu. It's such an odd time to eat for us. Would you keep RR for the "it's the cool place to eat right now" factor, or would you change to dinner at Garden Grill? The menus are close enough, that it seems to make sense.

Interesting. Come to think of I haven't eaten anything from the GF...I hear good things about the chicken and waffles from Grand Floridian Cafe and was intrigued at the DIS review of Citricos so perhaps it's time to change this.
As an aside the best mac and cheese I have had there is from Homecomin' with California Grill a close 2nd. The $75 steak was a relative value when they had the DDP and the mac and cheese on the side was amazing. Taken during a solo trip (yes it was a little weird being in CG solo given it is a date spot where everyone is "dressed up" but alas...

Garden Grill is my all time favorite - I love it there!!
Have you been to GG in the past or would both places be a new experience?

We are actually doing lunch at both on our trip, one day apart even. I think they are different enough due to the characters at GG, which are really fantastic (it's my fave character meal). But if you had to pick one or the other I would factor in whether you care about that. If going solely based on menu I wouldn't bother to change to GG tbh. You would basically be paying extra for the characters and fewer food options.

I would add that Garden Grill is re-starting breakfast 6/14 if you're going mid-late June. This is also my favorite character meal... Chip and Dale seem to be (almost annoyingly to me but not to the kids) in your face the entire meal ;).

Honestly….I would ask her.
I always let my girls have input on these decisions. Tell her there’s no right or wrong answer - whatever she wants to do. She may surprise you with what she wants. Let me know what you all decide 🙂

We will go to Garden Grill! I'm about to cancel a 2:55 May 10th RR ADR :)

Mine is for 3:15 and that was my choice. I'm considering it an early dinner and then in the evening we won't waste time in a restaurant, just grab some snacks. Plenty of time to walk off all the food I expect we'll eat.

FWIW, we ate at Round up BBQ and it was really good! The chicken was fall off the bone great! The sausage was just okay but then again I am not big on sausage. The brisket was good but I prefer chopped vs. the sliced but overall great BBQ. The sauces we also very good. I liked the sweet and spicy the best. I would compare it to an elevated Diamond Horseshoe (back when they served BBQ)

You will all love it there - we have a lot of wonderful memories eating there when our girls were younger. Have fun!!!
