This was another hard choice from. I actually just watched these two films here recently and I really enjoyed them both. 101 has a really unique artistic style that I haven't really seen in many other Disney films, if any. I really loved that. Cruella was a wicked and scary villain. The moment she showed up and you see her shadow from beyond the door, you can tell already what a foul nature she has. But overall, this was a fun and merry adventure film. I really liked it a lot.
Jungle Book, on the other hand, was more commonly drawn, but had a lot of beautiful colors and jungle scenery to look at. I totally loved that! I found myself looking beyond the characters in the scene, out into the jungle and just taking in all the wonderfulness of it. Shere Khan was a great villain too. He wasn't typical at all. Unlike, say, Scar, who was a backstabbing piece of scum, Shere Khan actually seemed like an honorable character. His only gripe was with man. If he would have eliminated Mongle, he most likely would have just went back into the jungle and left all the other animals alone. So I really like Shere Khan. He's like the rough and tough sheriff of the jungle, protecting it from the only thing he fears. Beyond that, this movie had a lot of other really fun characters. I still laugh at King Louie every time I see him.
So this here is another very tough choice for me. I'll post again when I figure out which one to vote for.
