Rough morning in my room today

Thursday and Friday night was first round for sorority recruitment here on campus and I came back early from surgery recovery to go through it.
This morning we got our invites back for second round this afternoon and of the 7 houses I got invited back 2, neither one being the house I really really wanted to get into. I really liked both houses that invited me back but with only 2 houses inviting me back the likelihood of getting a bid are very very slim.
I really wanted a certain house and I wanted it coming into rush and i have wanted it for most of first semester and didn't get it so it has been a rough morning here and it isn't 7 AM

Nowi have to be happy for my boyfriend when he gets here because it's Valentine's Day and our first one together so I will try to put a smile on my face but i am sure as soon as i see him and he hugs me I am gonna break down and sob.

That's a shame. I'm sorry you're sad. My college didn't have sororities, and I was glad. There was none of that stuff of making people feel accepted or rejected. I hope you do get into one of the houses. But hold your head high, no matter what. Don't let other people influence how you feel about yourself. You're a great person, and they would be lucky to have you!

I'm sorry about the sorority. Somethimes though, that kind of a disappointment ends up leading to something better somehow, some other way. Keep your chin up!

Sorry you're so upset! I was lucky enough to ge my first pick but my roommate on the other hand did not. She desperately wanted a certain sorority that dropped her the second day. She continued with recruitement and now loves the sorority she got in! Everything happens for a reason and you will end up where you are suppossed to be in the end. Just be yourself and show them what an asset you would be to their sorority. Good luck!

This happened to me in college. I was a legacy to a particular house and wanted it very much because it was my Big Sis' house. But they dropped me the first night. I was about to drop out of rush week but Big Sis (who is now Nurse Kathy) talked me into staying. I got a bid to a house I ended up LOVING!!!

So keep your chin up. Good things can come from this, I promise.
