Right at the front of the queue before the pre show and the ride is down! Music stopped. Technical guy in the room explaining stuff to the CM’s.

oof, not good couldn't even make it through the first wave

They have Guest Experience Cast members helping those that have issues to get in the VQ. I’m assuming if you don’t have a phone that would be the way to go.
I agree the system seems like a good one but could see people bring annoyed Dis ey didn't mention this system like a week ago or something. To only find out day if could cause people to stress. And what if you don't have a smart phone? What if you are international and don't have a data plan and having wifi issues?

Just think people that were planning for this would have liked to know ahead of time to incorporate this into their plans.

But the idea itself I think is a good one - like flexible FP that can adjust based on any technical issues (I noticed the info said getting a boarding group doesn't guarantee you a ride - so if it just goes down for the day, oh well, too bad)

Anyone have kids with them that have joined a boarding group? Can you join for more than one person or is it all individual? I have kids and my parents that I manage and wondering how that works. Parents could use their own MDE but kids definitely couldn’t.

AND I’m one of those folks with Olga’s booked just to get in the land!

It's almost like creating a fastpass party. If you go in MDE and hit join group, it'll ask you who's in your party. So as long as they are on your friends and family list, you can it join with them

Not a good sign. Those who have been following the technical difficulties know that it reportedly has a 2 hour reset when it goes down.

That’s what I’m worried about. I’m right here in front of the tech guy (not in ride CM clothing) explaining stuff to the CM’s.

I’m staying on site at the moment and was hoping to hop along to HS one evening for a late ride, my wife and baby have no interest in waiting in line or spending all day in HS to wait for my turn. I’m guessing this boarding group issue rules that out!

Overall I think it’s a “fair” system but basically it means you have to arrive early and then have to spend potentially all day in a park with 6 other rides (that you can only fast pass 2 of) to wait your turn.

I guess let’s see what happens over the next few days. I predict this will be in place for a while though. Why not just allow fast passes???

Even if ride is down, I may still try to head over and pick up some magicbands. Any chance someone can update me this afternoon if there are any left? I don't want to make the 30 minute drive if all gone

This ride is simply not ready for prime time. And like I have been saying Disney MUST get ahead of this NOW and let people know what's going on.

It’s terrible. Been up since 2 and just standing in HS now with a FP to ride once back up. Not happy. I will be making a formal complaint but not to frontline CM’s. Not their fault. They all apologised when we were leaving and you could see they felt awful.

I live in the UK and have spent thousands to come here for this. Sorry, not venting at you but just not happy. I don’t want to take it out on CM’s.
I'm so so sorry. It is hideous what Disney are doing. They have known for months but would not risk empty hotels over the holidays.
