RotR ILL$ purchase experience at 7am - post your times

Is it recommended to do Slinky first? Not sure what runs out first Rise or Slinky?
Seems like RotR is starting to catch up. SDD typically is gone first, but RotR isn't too far behind. I would think you can still get RotR if you do SDD first, but SDD will definitely be gone if you try RotR first.

Of course this all depends on crowd levels and what I noticed this morning.

If you're onsite though, which you'd have to be to try for RotR, I'd just plan to definitely get one then hit up the other with ETPE. If you happen to get the other one, it'd be a bonus ride.

Okay thanks problem is we have a breakfast reservation and won’t be able to be there at early entry. We have ridden slink dog before but never have Rise.

Oh gotcha. I'd definitely shoot for Rise, but I don't want to say you should change your strategy.

Also, if you haven't seen, several are reporting Disney is randomly sending confirmation codes at purchase of ILL$. Just an email with a code but can slow you down at purchase. Just something to be aware of and prepared for.

Good luck!

Yeah I read that about the email code 🙄. Seriously Disney why make this harder🤷‍♀️ Would you go with getting Rise first if it’s the most important? We really want to ride SDD and Rise.

I can guarantee SDD will go within a minute or so. Sometimes there are drops after, but gotta be quick. I'm not sure how quick RotR will go, probably within 5 minutes. If you have 2 phones/2 people, I'd have 1 person try for SDD and the other for RotR, if that's at all a possibility for you.

Thanks we will have 2 phones if I can get the other person up to help 😂.

Can both phones be set to the same account or does my husband need to use his own MDE/genie account. Specifically I’m thinking about one phone, one ipad, both using my info.

If I read the above correctly, the ONLY opportunity to book paid ILL for Rise is for people eligible for the 7:00am window? Anyone not eligible can pretty much forget it?

Total joke the last couple mornings I got 56 email verification codes today!

Then when I could click on a time, it would be gone before I could check out.

56!

clicked on smugglers and got 940, but then crashed so by the time I got back in, the next time was 540.

Genie is a total fail on busy days. Combine that with poor IT and you’re going to end up with major guest dissatisfaction.

In order to try for a ILL$ for ROTR do I need to be onsite? Like...I can do it from my hotel room and then go back to bed? How do they know I am onsite??

Edit to add: sorry wrong thread!

Your hotel reservation will determine if you're onsite or not. So if you're not staying at a Disney hotel, you're not getting into the RotR lottery

Since it seems these are going in minutes, is there a way to prepare to buy it, like set the group of people in your party like in a boarding group or are we back to fast fingers. Also when do you know you have a time reserved (does it hold one for you as you check out or do you have to be fast with that as well).

On another thread this morning, someone said they clicked 9:40 return time and at checkout, they were told their time was no longer available and they had to go back to the beginning, but by that time, nothing else was available for them, so they weren't able to buy. Not sure if they got SDD first, or what not, just that they missed out on reserving because the initial time slot wasnt available. Sounds like the time isn't locked in until you successfully check out.

We will be there a sold out park day before Christmas…in this case do you think it would be better to pick a later return time? That way it has less of a chance of selling out before successfully checking out?

That's what it sounds like. I don't know for sure how that'll work out as I haven't had a chance to buy yet, but based on that, I'd probably shoot for 1pm hour as after 2pm, the people not doing DHS as the first park can select those times.
