Thrill data shows very little RotR ILL$ return times in the morning. I know it goes very quickly but I am wondering if it's possible to snag something in the 12-1pm hour if I've got fast enough fingers. (staying on-site)

For people here who have purchased RotR right at 7am, what time were you able to book for (and what time were you aiming for)?

TIA

I logged in right at 7 am to buy. Then it made me re login. It gave me two choices, 9:30 and 10 a.m. then, between the time I went to pay and got my information online (gift card to pay), it had already gone to 11 am. I want to say it was probably 710 am when I finished.

I tried to get a LL for SDD first on Tuesday and was able to get 10:10 AM.

By the time I switched to ROTR the times were into the afternoon. Every time I clicked to do things like edit the party (my wife wasn’t interested in ROTR), confirm my payment method, etc. the time got farther out. They even made me log in and enter a code sent by email. I ended up with 6-7 PM, which was OK because we intended to go back to DHS in the evening to see the Christmas decorations and projections on TOT. But, I would have preferred something mid morning.

Getting an early time for ROTR may require quick fingers.

I wonder in this situation if it's better to go in and grab the RotR LL or the SS LL first. I'm going to be in the same situation and want to get them both as well, hopefully for the morning or early afternoon. I also wonder if there are multiple people in your party if one can grab one of the LL and the other can try to get the other at the same time. I would love to know what order people are doing these in, and like the OP asked what return times people are getting.

SDD times get later faster, and run out sooner, than ROTR.

Because we were planning on doing only DHS that day with a midday break, I just wanted to avoid mid afternoon times. I also wanted to get SDD as early as possible so we could move on to getting more LL.

My daughters did help get the earlier SDD time but I wanted to get the ROTR so it would be charged to my account.

If you only have one person making the reservations you really have to get SDD first because they might be gone within a minute and then you’ll be left with trying to pick up something through refreshing.

On thing I confirmed about refreshing is that, just because you see an available time and click on it doesn’t mean you will get it.

Thank you everyone, this is exactly the kind of experiences I’m looking for.

i am not going to push my luck and do SDD on the same day as Rise - going to split those over two visits. I am going to try to book SDD this Saturday and after I’LL go in and ill check the Rise times as well and report back. I’ll do the same for the day we try to book Rise.

Booked today right away. Did ROTR first and snagged 12:10 and slinky after at 2:20.

Both rise and Slinky were down most of the day and after getting pulled out of the preride show on rise twice I finally made it on at 4 pm right before leaving for the day.

This is the first I've heard of needing a code for MDE login. Had you ever had this requirement at home? Was it something to do with the hotel wifi? Just trying to figure out what that is all about. Must have been super stressful!

It wasn’t stressful but it added a couple of clicks to the process.

I don’t ever remember having to do this before and It only happened when I was trying to purchase something, like Genie+, an IALL, or a mobile order. And it was only some fraction of the times I bought something, no more than once a day.

I looked at my email trash, and I was asked for a passcode 4 times in 5 days.

I’ve never been asked for an email passcode at Disney. Not that I can remember.

Was discussing the email code issue on another thread and one person said they had to enter a code 10 times in a row, but he was on a wifi network that kept dropping. I believe he said he's from Canada so his data plan doesn't work at WDW. But it definitely sounds like an issue buying over wifi network and not the data network. Something people do need to be aware of as something that could happen, but isn't happening all the time.

I logged on to MDE at 7:00 sharp, navigated to the right screen which took under a minute, but was too long. earliest time offered was 5:00. By the time I started payment (couple seconds) I was pushed to 5:25. Like one PP said quick fingers are needed! (And a later model phone!)

So when does it lock down the time, when you start payment?
(what about G+ LL selections, when does it lock down the time on those?)

You can cut some valuable seconds off that time by logging in to MDE ahead of time and going to the Tip Board. Then set the attraction you are looking for at the top of the otherwise alphabetical list by clicking on “edit selections” and selecting that attraction.

Then at the stroke of 7:00:00 hit the Tip Board tab to refresh the page.

I practiced doing that at home before the trip. It can be amusing and instructive to keep refreshing and watch the time rapidly go from 9 AM to 8 PM.

On my actual park day, the time showed at 9AM and I clicked through quickly to the confirmation and got a return time of 10:10-11:10, which I considered a win.

Do you have to put in all the credit card information in or is all the info in there if you have a saved card on file?

Can you tell me where you see the option to “edit selections”? I just don’t see that on my phone. I have an iPhone 12. Thanks!

It happens a lot at WDW when you're purchasing things or retrieving your room number, etc. It was really frustrating when I went in Sept pre-Genie (but using the app for things like mobile order, etc)
