Ive recently learned about the whole boarding group situation. Read some how-to’s and watched some youtube videos. Any Disney novices that followed this advice get their boarding group? What time did you ride? And how does it work if your boarding coincides with Savis workshop or droid depot reservation, or dining reservation? And Jedi training lol, when/how do I sign my son up for that?

Thousands did.
And, those other possible "conflicts" were not much of a factor with the (in general) 2-hour window to ride
ROTR after each BG time was opened.
(Even then, due to the unique situation of ROTR,
allowances where made to accommodate guests with conflicts.)

Theres a lot of uncertainty. Im still trying to happily plan my September trip, hoping things are reopened & back to relative normalcy but who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wondered if instead of what you said, theres a rebound and theres MORE people there than normal bc people rescheduled their canceled trips. I so hope NOT.

Go to the planning thread Star Wars for Galaxy Edge for RotR no spoilers. It has a wealth of information about BG's and planning.
I got a lot of good Intel from there for our Christmas week trip 2019 and we rode twice.
It's going to depend on what the parks do once they are open and your plans. How many days are you planning at HS? You will need to plan prioritize and be flexible. For us Jedi training was the only thing not on our list ds 19 did it years ago and loved it!! There is sign ups for that when park opens in am. Have fun planning. It is so worth it.

THIS!
We took with us some awesome advice and also rode twice during our January trip. Here's the link: https://www.disboards.com/threads/r...on-no-spoilers.3782822/page-691#post-61719281
Be sure to read the first two posts (don't worry about reading the whole thread because things changed over the months). I recommend after reading Post 1 and 2, go read a couple of the most recent pages to see how things are currently going with the ride, the process, crowds, etc.
