I booked lunch at GG for our upcoming trip, thinking that the character interaction would be a lot of fun for my toddler son. I'm starting to get really nervous though, and fear I may have made a big mistake in selecting this restaurant. I do suffer from motion sickness. Am I going to have a problem??

You should have no problem at all. It is slooooooow moving. If you look at the table or dinner partners you may not even realize it is moving at all.

Love the restaurant and the characters are great. You will have no issues at all.

I am very prone to motion sickness, dramamine every day on a cruise, every car trip, and every airplane trip. I didn't feel anything at Garden Grill at all any of the four times I've eaten there. You see the scene changing and kind of have to be aware of the moving platform when you step on initially, but there is no sensation of moving.

I have bad motion sickness and vertigo! I was fine. It is what kept me from making a reservation on our last trip before January. I decided to try it this past trip and it was fine. I barely noticed it. I just sat on the side of the booth so I was looking at the person across from me. I would probably not sit at back of booth because then you would notice the change in scenery a lot more. Have fun!

Same here as previous posters.. I can handle a lot of different motion, but spinning just makes me ill. I had no problems at all. Great experience at GG.

I agree with everyone, the only time you "may" realize the ever slight movement is when you are being seated after walking up the ramp to the table and barely when you are being seated (on the lower deck). If you think you may have the "slightest" issue or if you think it may bother you when you look up at the scenery and notice it's changing a bit then ask for the upper level.

Just so people know I was told it rotates at 6 degrees a minute to finish a rotation in an hour. I actually went very sick (didn't know I was sick) so was really queasy and the motion did throw me but the hostess and waitress were absolutely shocked to the point they asked if I just got off Mission Space because no one had ever been sick from the motion of the room. Got home and found out I was super ill.

Thanks for the info, everyone. You've helped put my mind at ease. We will be going there on the first day of our trip and I'm so excited for my son to meet Mickey!

You will love GG! It's a fabulous meal and the characters are so cute in their farmer outfits. It's our favorite character meal! Enjoy!

My wife gets very motion sick and it bothered her to the point where she was there for about 15 minutes and had to go out and sit on a bench until my daughter and I were done. It stinks because my daughter and I really liked the restaurant and the character interaction but we wont go back because it ended up being a wasted meal for my wife. The nice part is that in our opinion the best counter service on property is right below it so we almost always have at least one meal at Sunshine Seasons.

I suffer from motion sickness. I can't watch 3-D movies and have to close my eyes on rides like Star Tours to keep from getting sick. I've eaten at Garden Grill more than any other restaurant at Disney and haven't had a problem. But, after sitting on the upper level twice, I will only sit on the lower level from now on, even if it means waiting longer for a table. It didn't make me feel ill, but I was more aware of the movement, and I'm just more comfortable on the lower level

We've sat on both and I agree, we found that on the lower level we weren't even aware of the movement. On the upper level we could barely tell but we did feel it a tiny bit. It was more obvious, though that's still misleading as it was barely obvious.

I too get motion sick, but am one of the ones who did not experience any issues there. And the food was delicious, and the character interaction was the best of our trip this past Nov.

I've gone twice and both times it wasn't moving, so I'm jealous of everyone who has experienced the slow rotation!
