I will watch it only to see what "The View" is like without her – I’ll give it a week – 2 max. I only watched because you never knew what would FLY out of her mouth. Some days she was so perfectly on point, and other days she was so far from the point - she was pointless. Anyway, I will admit that I only watched this past 7 or 8 months. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks. If it’s dull (and I got a feeling it will be) this will leave 1 additional hour available on my DVR.

Wow - I record "The View" daily and I just finished watching the show from Wednesday. Both of them appeared angry AND hurt. Those are two emotions that could make you say and do anything. Both of them wanted to cry. I hope they can 'heal' from this.

I think Rosie was mad/hurt at the wrong person and taking it out on the wrong person. She has a right to be angry with the news shows that pick on her or pick apart what she says but she seemed to hold Elizabeth accountable for what Fox News and others say.

She insulted Elizabeth more than once, belittling her because of her "youth" or asking her if she can hold "two thoughts at once" and then calling her a "coward". Oh, yeah, and she called her a bigot on her blog too. I think Elizabeth showed lots of restraint until the other day's fight. Elizabeth never called Rosie names or insulted her even when she was spewing those conspiracy theories or explaining that terrorists are humans too bologna.

I don't recall her calling Elizabeth a bigot..could you send a link to that? I know Barbara Walters called her MIL a bigot on the show and that was referenced on the blog..I may have missed it..

Beatty said Rosie called EH a bigot on her blog..Many people have written some unbecoming things about EH to Rosie but franky Rosie was always protective or evasive about EH. If I missed it I would love to see it..I may have to go read all the blogs from the last month..:

Rest assured, it has FAR more to do, than her views on Bush. It just seems that you can't participate in ANY thread, no matter what the topic, without it becoming political. I have lots of things that keep me interested other than constantly trying to start crap. And I'm here to fool no....you get what you get.

Actually, I might be wrong about that. I got that info from the posting of someone who was in the audience on the show where Rosie and EH had their fight. At one point during a commercial break she said EH yelled at Rosie that she called her a bigot on her blog but I do think Rosie denied it.

I appreciate your honesty, it didn't seem like something I had heard and I watch everyday..and read the blog every few days.
I have gotten some good theater tips and she would tell who was scheduled to be on the show long before the date.

if you watched the view before the big fight, the show was very strange. Joy liz and barbara all seemed to gang up on rosie, to the point she really just stopped talking for the rest of the show. I think that rosie was hurt by what was going on. There are "rumors" that the producers of the view were out to run her into the ground so she would not be picked up by another network with her own show. By reading her blog it really seemed that she thought the other women, including liz to be her friends. She felt betrayed by people she cared about. Mouth or not, thats a hard pill to swallow , especially if playing out on network TV.

Reguardless of what you think about her she donates much of her own money to many charities besides her childrens foundation. She aparently has been a frequent unpublisized visitor to many diffrent VA hospitals offering emotional, and monitary support to many of the wounded vets and their families. Imagine doing this and reading and hearing that you think the troops are terorist and evil. She never did say that, she did say that the current administration are running government sponsored terorism in Iraq. She has always maintained undying support for the troops.

Like her or not, big mouth for sure, she has alot of guts for putting up with what she did for as long as she did. She will continue to be a charitable force for kids and the troops im sure. Rosie is a genuine person, what you see is what you get.

I saw her in a restaurant I was in once in NY and after she finished her meal was approached by a few kids in the restaurant, this is back when she had her own show, she greeted each child with a hug and a huge smile signed autographs and had a short conversation with each one, a real class act, like her politics or not, shes the real deal.

I like Rosie very much and will really miss her on The View. I think she's a wonderful person, and I agree with her most of the time. Before she came on the show, it was BORING! After she came on, I watched it almost every day. She made the show. If it weren't for that whiny, little, two-faced witch, Elisabeth, it would've been perfect! I don't plan on watching the show any more.
