Rosie O'Donnell to replace Meredith Vieira on the View!!!

I might watch just for fun!!!! I can see it now, Joy, Rosie & Star....Star throwing her weight loss in Rosie's face, just to get a rise out of her!:lmao:

I might start watching the Today show again because I do like Meredith.
There was nothing she ever did that I thought was tasteless and she shows alot of class, imo, considering who she was hosting with.

I like Rosie, and I like the View. I'm am not sure what it's going to be like with Rosie on the show though. I did love her on her own show, and wish that was back on. I can't stand Elizabeth, and I hope that Rosie can put her in her place :rolleyes1

I like Rosie and I liked her old show - but did not appreciate it so much after she got a little over the top with the her agendas......I don't care for The View that much and Viera was the only one I cared for...I will probably tune in at first just to see how it goes - might be interesting......

edited to add: I agree, it would be nice to see her put that Elizabeth in her place.....hehehehe....

:wizard:

The View comes on the same time as Ellen here...........I might just start watching The View just to watch Star Jones and Rosie going at it, should be fun. ;)

I like Rosie more now than the early part of her career when she was in the closet and calling everybody a cutie patootie.

I think that the only 2 out of the 4 that will work well together is Elizabeth & Rosie, they both have younger kids & love being parents. And if they can have civil discussions about topics, they may not agree on it will be a nice change from Joy rolling her eyes all the time & Star butting in & changng the topic to one about herself.

I bet she isn't so in "love" with "her" Tommy anymore :lmao: :lmao:

Yeah, didn't Rosie have some depression issues? I really wouldn't mind seeing Rosie "discuss depression with Tom"

:thumbsup2

Man, Rosie, Star and Joy on one show... this sounds like MY family reunion!!! :rotfl2:

I'm not a huge Rosie fan, but I like her a lot more than that awful Patricia Heaton person they were considering.

Rosie may put Elizabeth over her knee and spank her. :rotfl2: I might need to start watching the view. This set up is pregnant with possibilities. :stir:

They may actually be looking for an all female version of Crossfire. If they let them go at it , rather than just lofting passive agressive softballs, I would watch. Th current PA format just annoys me.

I never usually watched, but now I have a reason to NEVER watch. Yucko-O!

Did they officially announce this on the View today?

Why do people think Star and Rosie don't get along? Don't they have very similar political views? I thought that Elizabeth and Rosie would be clashing, not Star and Rosie. :confused3

I'm not sure how this new dynamic will work. I used to love Rosie when she had her own show, but I worry she's too political now. I do think, however, there could be a lot of fascinating conversations between the women. I'll tune in for sure.

I really want to watch! I think adding Rosie is an explosive idea. I just hope Rosie doesn't punch anyone! But, if she does I don't want to miss it. I guess it is time to get Tivo.
Also--the only view member that I currently like is Joy. So adding Rosie, who I like, is a big step in the right direction.

I have to say I agree. I like Rosie more than I like Star and Elizabeth. I think Rosie and Joy together will bring a lot of comedy to the mix. If what another poster said is true about Rosie and Star clashing normally, maybe this move will push Star out also.

Rosie made a public statement that Star should own up to how she lost weight-and not let people think she lost it without any means of surgery.

Now that would be a fun panel...Joy, Rosie, and Ellen...and Barbara! Stand back! :rotfl2:

When the View 1st came on I was home on bedrest and then maternity leave for 12 weeks. I liked it back then.
The original blonde they had on - maybe Debbie Mentalopolous (WAY bad spelling) I just loved. I am usually not into the cutsey blond thing but she was very good. Lost her and it has been 1 bad decision after another. The latest- and by far the WORST has been to add Rosie. No way in this entire world I would ever spend a moment of time life purposely listening to Rosie O'Donnell.
ITA! What in the world was Barbara thinking???

It's going to be like the WWF...the Rosie Star smackdown will be the highlights....
