Rose Wands

Did anyone use disney's rose wands in their wedding?? I am thinking about having my MOHs and BM carry these instead of bouquets. I am trying to look for ways that will save us money. Last weekend I went looking for silk/fake flowers to make their bouqets myself, but i couldnt find anhything i liked. I was wandering if anyone knows the prices on them. I was thinking that they would be cheaper than disney's fresh flower bouquets. Are there different styles of wands (more than one rose in the middle...)?? THANKS

Hi, I had my bridesmaids carry Princess Wands instead of flowers. I bought them at The Disney Store. Each bridesmaid carried a different princess! And the handle part actually lit up! It looked amazing when my new husband and I were introduced and we walked between the groomsmen and bridemaids under the "arch"!
Now would be the perfect time to buy them as they are all on clearance from the Disney Halloween Costumes!

I was thi8nking of using these myself. I believe the price is arounbd $25-$30. There are some girls who have used them here so maybe they have a pic or an exact price!

In the intimate wish book at disneyweddings.com it says the single rose wand is $25. and the triple rose wand is avail. for $45. happy planning !

I just got married in an Intimate Ceremony on October 20th and my Maid of Honor (only attendant) carried one of the 3-rose wands from the Disney florists and it was stunning! Just picture perfect and not over the top at all. It was $35.

i used a mickey groom doll as my bouquet and so did my MOH. my flower girls carried cinderella wands to wave down the aisle instead of giving them the traditional baskets to throw rose pedals on the floor.

I wanted these for my flowergirls, b/c they are going to be too small to throw flower petals...doe anyone have a picture of them?

I might make them as well. If I get a large silk flower and silk ribbon in my wedding colors, I think it will work. I might even add some sparkle clear paint for shimmer on the petals.

My 2 flowergirls ( their mother was my original flowergirl 25 years ago !) had the rose wands and I loved them! There are a couple of pictures of them in my siggie link. They even sprinkle them with sparkly " pixie dust "!! Too cute.

Thanks JandJ, how beautiful withthe three roses!! My colors are black and three shades of pink. I could do the rose wands with each pink shade rose. LOVE THE PICTURE!!!
Did anyone use different color pinks in their wedding too? I am trying to find a rose style bouquet for me now. I was hoping just roses (3 diff pinks), any pics??

You're welcome It was a great thing for my niece to carry. She's 17 so she's not a kid but she's not an adult either so it was just right for her. Honestly, the "regular" bouquets for bridesmaids were way too expensive. With the Intimate Wedding package you get your bouquet and the groom's bout included, but you have to pay for all other flowers, and I wanted to keep the cost down. I considered getting her a bouquet elsewhere but when Rosie C. in Disney floral/photography explained the wand to me it sounded perfect - and it was! Everyone loved it! I don't have a pic of my bouquet to post, but my colors were burgundy and ivory and I had ivory roses with burgundy spray roses (smaller roses) spread throughout the ivory roses. It was the bouquet of my dreams! Honestly, they did an incredible job! They could do the different shades of pink in spray roses. That would be very pretty!

I just wanted to add that I love the wand pictured above! I just couldn't picture it, but agree that it is very elegant. Are they real flowers or fake? Does Disney florist make them? Thanks!

I believe the flowers are real, and they are made by dinsey florists!!

I'm glad the picture is helpful! Yes, the roses are real and you can choose one rose or three roses. I thought one rose was too small but it would probably be good for a child to carry. You choose what color roses and ribbon you want and they sprinkle the roses and the ribbon with "pixie dust" (but I'm sure you can request that not be done if you prefer). The Disney Florist makes the wand and for my Intimate Wedding the 3-rose wand was $35. They deliver all of the flowers to your wedding site and you get them right before the ceremony so you don't have to worry about keeping them fresh. My bouquet still had water droplets on it - that's how fresh and pretty they make them! I was very happy with all the flowers and the 3-rose wand was the perfect choice for my attendant. Everyone loved the wand, even other resort guests commented on how great it was. Happy planning!

I have been going back and forth about what to do for the bridesmaids...I mean I can't fathom spending $100 per girl (I have 6 ) That pic is exactly what I have been looking for and the price is great!

I booked our Intimate Wedding at the beginning of 2005, and I know things have changed (like the number of guests allowed, etc.). For me it was $35 for the 3-rose wand, but I don't know if that's gone up. Rosie in Disney Floral and Photography was a HUGE help to me, so if your coordinator can put you in touch with her I'm sure she can give you the correct pricing for the wands.
