The 135th Rose Parade will roll through Pasadena, CA at 8 am Monday. Look for the cute float from La Canada Flintridge; my husband and I have been working on this float as volunteers for months! It is gorgeous with the flowers on. At the time of this writing, 7:45 pm Sunday, it is sloooooooly making its way to the staging area! My school is also represented on the float. I am so honored to have been a part of the float! By the way...it is freezing here, and we saw thousands of people lining the street (Colorado Blvd) to stake out their claim all night long. Yikes.

My mom grew up in La Canada.

How cool is that!!!
It is a beautiful parade.

I have been watching this every year since I was little. The floats are always amazing and also like the different groups of riders.

We can also get this on a cable channel as well. We have Verizon and it is on Cowboy TV. Could be different with other providers. An hour before at 10 am EST is a behind the scenes pre show we always enjoy.

Didn't watch it on TV although I suppose I can find replays of it all over. I attended once and it was fun but the weather was cold and miserable. Had grandstand seats, but walked past the street level and it looked like a disaster area - even before the parade started. Obviously there had been people in sleeping bags overnight. I get that alcohol is illegal but I'm sure it's being consumed. There was confetti and more silly string than I'd seen in a long time. Some even brought patio heaters to stay warm. I heard cleanup takes a while, but it brings a ton of business to the city. We went to a McDonald's which had no open dining room nor open restrooms. They had employees outside to take orders and the only option was one of three extra value meals. It might have been cash only and orders were taken on paper since they didn't have registers outside.

I watched the parade yesterday as it aired, it was great. I remember that one because the name stuck out in my mind!
