If you are going to be at Epcot go with Rose & Crown. which I would pick over WC. I like WC but have been wanting to try R & C. WC is ok the antics make it fun, I have heard less antics at lunch. We had a ball at WC for Breakfast one morning, we were staying at WL.

In my humble opinion, Whispering Canyon is one of the worst restaurants at WDW (and I've eaten at most). I thought lunch was worse than dinner because in addition to the bad food, there were a lot less antics. Rose and Crown is significantly better.

We dined at Rose & Crown last month and really enjoyed it. We had a table outside by the water and the view was really nice and relaxing. The water view was blocked by the umbrellas of other tables somewhat, but nonetheless it was quiet out there and we could have conversation and a nice atmosphere to dine in. The food was all good quality and prices were reasonable. I had a steak and mom had the fish and chips and we shared a sticky toffee pudding. The restaurant was beautiful inside and there are different rooms built in different architectural styles so do ask the staff about the building design and how it was made. We got a most interesting lesson on it and really enjoyed our visit. If you are already going to be at EPCOT anyway, why leave and use valuable time commuting?

The food and dining experience at Rose and Crown are much superior to Whispering Canyon, but I would only book it if you plan to be in Epcot that day. IMO it wastes way too much time to travel very far outside a park for lunch. If you are planning to be at MK, then pick a different restaurant either inside the park or at Kona or the Wave or the Grand Floridian Cafe.

We've done both, but at dinner not lunch. Rose and Crown was really good but we really enjoy going to English pubs and DH loves trying different English ales and stouts. Definitely recommend the Fish & Chips and Sticky Toffee Pudding. They had a really tasty caramel custard too. We really enjoyed WCC too and are not sure why so many people bash it. We had the Canyon Skillet (I think that is what it is called) and everything on it was delicious. Maybe it was because we were one of the first dinner reservations so the food was really fresh. I don't really think you could go wrong with either one, but if you are in Epcot that day, I would say pick Rose and Crown so you can enjoy the park more.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I think we are going to go with Rose & Crown!:yay:
