I was just able to book an ADR for next Fri 2/17 @ 7:15pm.

Figuring dinner takes an hour or so after being seating, I'm thinking we will be finished before 9pm. If we do, can we wait on their patio to watch illuminations?

(or do we have to take the super slow approach to dinner ;)

adding: I am only kidding about the slow approach...that doesn't work with kids...I can hear ds10 now...did you pay the bill, yet?...LOL

The viewing area is adjacent to the patio and the CM will show you where it is. There's nothing to do there except stand and wait so if you have a long wait and your 10 year old is restless, you might want to bring something to entertain him.

Unfortunately 7:15 might be on the early side and R&C tends to serve fairly quickly. If it's a busy night you might have to wait for your table which will work in your favor. I would keep checking to see if anything around 8 opens up. On our last trip we noticed a lot of places popped up with availability 1 or 2 days in advance so maybe you'll be lucky.

The view from the viewing area is excellent.
