Hi all, My DD & I are planning a last minute trip to WDW (the week before July 4th) and I was only able to get a ressie at the Rose & Crown for 6:35. I know that I will have to go outside to view illuminations. Do you think they will let me stick around to see it from their patio. Another question, Do they have chairs or is it standing only. We are very short and are hoping this won't cause a problem with viewing. LOL Thanks

Only about 25-30 percent of the restaurant has patio seating with some of THAT not next to the lagoon. Plus our experience has been that we miss some of the higher fireworks due to the patio roof or umbrella's.

If you do stay and then move outside you can end up standing behind someone tall AND under a tree so you can see nothing.

My suggestion is to arrive early and if you don't like your seat, eat quickly, then go find a better spot.

I think a 6:35 ADR is too early to expect to still be seated for the 9 PM Illuminations. You will be done eating long before that.
I think your best bet is to finish up and find a spot along the lagoon to see it.
There are many, many good viewing spots along the lagoon.
I agree with the PP, we have had patio dining at Rose & Crown where a good portion of the fireworks were blocked by the patio roof. We have seen it better along the lagoon.
Have a Nice Trip

We were there for Illumination in Nov and had an earlier seating. They let us stay but the crowd was dying down and we were eating and drinking lots...appetizer, entree, dessert, cocktails and after dinner drinks...it was a drawn out dinner so maybe try and make a later ADR.

You probably will get out too early for Illuminations. Go outside to the left of R & C is a outside seating area grab a beer or soda at the Kiosk just outside that area and go try to find a seat in there. But you do need to get there early for a seat, this may be possible.

Sticking around after a 6:35 dinner at R&C to see Illuminations is really not worth the effort. There are many, many great places from around WS to watch Illuminations. Basically, any place where your view is not blocked by a tree or a structure is as good as any other place. There are so many such good places that it is completely not necessary to line up an hour or more before the show to get a spot; there will be plenty of good spaces still available as little as 15 minutes before the show.

Thus, if you eat at R&C and are done by 7:45, you will be standing around for 1:15 just to wait to see Illuminations. This is a waste of at least an hour of good park time which could be used to explore all the other things there are to do around WS. After dinner, leave R&C to explore and enjoy WS and then find a spot a little before the show.

I agree. There are many great places to see Illuminations.
