If park hours are the same as they were last year, illuminations won't be until 10pm on july 4th. What we would like to do is try for R&C to watch them from. Our issue is that would mean like an 8:45 dinner ressie, which is pretty late for us to start eating dinner.
So here is my etiquette/ethical question, if I am able to get a ressie for say 9/9:15, would it be improper to basically order just drinks and dessert? Even if we eat inside, we would still be able to go to that side viewing area to watch the fireworks. (assume also I know I should give a big tip)
Is there anything wrong with this to you all? On the one hand, I think if I get the ressie, I am free to order what I want so shoudn't be an issue, but on the other hand, I know there is an expectation at least that we should be getting a full dinner.
any thoughts/comments - would love to know what my DIS friends out there think!
thanks for the help!
