Rose & Crown Chips - help me out!

Are the chips and the R&C like 'real' chips?

I have never eaten at the Rose & Crown because it seemed silly to eat stuff the I could get at home, HOWEVER, I moved from England to Canada almost 2 years ago and would consider selling vital organs for a really good portion of chips now!!!

Can any Brits tell me if I'm going to get my hopes up and then sob like a little girl when French fries arrive instead???

Not french fries but not as good as my local chippy. Pic I took in August.
We were suprised how much we enjoyed R&C, been putting it off for years but we liked the food and one of the best servers we have ever had.

As an ex-UK pavilion cast member I can confirm they are proper chips and not fries or crisps! And actually aren't bad at all!
