I can get ADR at Rose and Crown at 7:55 pm on an Illunations night (9pm show). What is the seating like? Can we see the show? Suggestions? Past experiences?

We have done Rose and Crown twice in a row (the last two years) and both times we have requested, and been granted, seating outside, with a view of the fireworks. It is REALLY fun, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. An adr for 7:30 is a good time, imo. We made the adr, understanding that a request for a view of the fireworks is just that, a request, but both times that request has been honored. We LOVE to do this!

We always go here to see the fireworks. If you do not have a good view from your table, you can step out on to the patio to view the show. The staff is very good at making sure you can view the show and will time you food accordingly.

If Illuminations is at 9:30 (as it is at Christmas time), what would be a good time for a R&C ressie? TIA!

Question - has anyone been eating inside then went to the patio for the show? I'm trying to see if this is even possible.

Weird - I can get the Rose and Crown, but I can't get The Land.

We are only 1 of 4 for getting the outside seating and I think the 1 time is because it was after a rain storm and and we were the start of people getting the outdoor seating. However we usually get ADR's for 7:30 to 7:45 and about dessert time we are lead out to a patio to see Illuminations, I think this is the closest view of Illuminations and even sometimes head there or Germany to see Illuminations when we don't have a dinner. I somehow wonder if people are getten ADRS even earlier then I mentioned and waiting it out for a seat?

Oh yeah - they have a patio area you can walk out to to see the show if you're seated inside. The only challenge is that it has a high wall - I had to hold my son up so he could see.

We've dined there 2x - first on our honeymoon and we got an outside table. This was back in 1998 when there were still some secrets - pretty much all those are out now. Back then you could still get in to most restaurants on the same day, even as a walk up. (Heck, I got in as a walk up at CRT in 1998.) but when we sat outside it was June - HOT, HOT, HOT. A woman seated at the next table passed out. :scared1:

The second time we ate there, we sat inside and our meal was pretty perfectly timed so that we could walk out to see the show after we were done. I can't remember what time our ADR was for, though, and I can't seem to find that trip plan right now. (And the show had the holiday kiss at the end.)
