Rose and Crown 4th July

Hi

I have been trying to get an ADR for dinner for the 4th July. I was able to try and book it yesterday and tried online and by telephone and it is unavailable. I tried again today at the 180 day mark and lunch is available but not dinner. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be?

Because the 4th of July is one of the busiest days in DW along with Easter and the week between Christmas & New Years it's possible that it has been booked up by people using the 180 + 10 day window since it has a great view of the fireworks.

Another possibility is it hasn't been loaded into the computer yet. Or maybe Disney has plans to take advantage of the fireworks view with some kind of special event.

Is there anywhere else (food wise) around Epcot that offers good views of the July 4th fireworks, from outside?

We had a hard time deciding on what time to schedule the dinner for the fireworks. We couldn't decide on 9:00 P.M. or 8:25 P.M. or 8:35 P.M. If you don't mind what time do you think is best for the 10:00 fireworks?

We were there last July 4th and we had a 7:45 pm reservation. This allowed time to wait for a table -- requested outside but not guaranteed -- to eat dinner and have dessert and settle the tab, which we guessed about 2 hours for our party of 7.

We had a great view of the amazing fireworks. They were simply the best I have ever seen ... the finale!

R&C is really busy during Illuminations time, and I would guess even more so on the 4th of July. Both times we've done R&C for Illuminations, we were sat 30-40 mins past our ADR time. Seems like since they are so busy, they run behind in seating so don't be surprised if you are seated late.

Yes, that included the time we waited for the table ... maybe 20 minutes. Then looking over the menu, ordering, eating. We also had some wine/beer/drinks and also ordered some desserts to share. Felt the amount spent on food/drinks was sufficient and tipped well.

And yes, July 4th is very busy at Epcot. The time were getting to Rose & Crown for our ADR, people were already lined up around the lagoon holding spots to view the fireworks.

We were also there on Dec. 30th with a 7:00 pm reservation. Illuminations was not until 9:30 pm and the restaurant was very uncrowded. I was very surprised at how many open tables there were considering how crowded the parks were during that week. We again ordered dinner, glass of wine and shared a dessert.

Our check is time stamped at 8:40 pm -- so even on a slow night it was an hour and forty minutes. We ended up walking around the UK pavilion and come back to the restaurant to watch since we had awhile before the show.

Thanks for the informative information. ADR is now adjusted to much earlier time we will keep our fingers crossed that we will get a patio table during the fireworks
