A while back I said that my face was breaking out and I was having a really bad time with it. Lots of posters told me it was Roscasa (I cannot spell it but you all know what I mean). WEll couple of weeks ago I went to the doctor and he confirmed your diagnosis. He gave me metrogel to use and said it would take like 5 weeks to take down the red. WEll it has been 5 weeks and I think there is no difference. He told me to put it on once a day at night before I go to bed.

Does anyone use Metrogel? How long does it take to work?

I have used it in combination with other meds. It shouldn't take 5 weeks to be effective. Have you talked to the doctor?

No b/c he told me it would take a long time to work. It is not that bad and frankly all it looks like is I have blush on all the time. I did not even think I had it when Dis posters told me but when the doctor told me I guess I needed to believe him.

I use Metrogel in combination with Prascion cleanser. I think the cleanser actually helps more. I could not use the Metrogel while pregnant and I didn't have any problems so it got me thinking that the Metrogel was not really doing much.

I was on Metrogel and an antibiotic when I first came down with rosacea. Maybe you need more than just the Metrogel.....I'd call the doctor and see what he says. Good luck!
