For our first day at MK, my strategy for our family was to head directly to Splash Mountain at RD. will the line:worship::worship: build up too much if we watch the opening presentation?

If you're talking about the one at the train station, you don't have a choice.

If you mean the Welcome Show at MK, that happens about 10-15 minutes before they even let you inside the park. So, if you go straight to Splash as soon as they let you in, you should be good. However, there has been a new form of "rope drop" where CMs literally walk everyone down Main Street behind a rope to combat the running of the bulls for Anna and Elsa. But once you're able to break away from that, just head right for Splash.

I would say that Splash Mountain isn't where most people are headed at rope drop.

You should have no problems getting on Splash Mountain after rope drop. Most people will be heading to meet Anna and Elsa or riding the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train :thumbsup2

Thank you for the feedback. Luckily, we don't have any little girls, so we don't have to worry about A & E.

Keep in mind that Splash is a 10 minute long attraction - that's in the boat time. It's also a fast loader. If there are other slower loading/shorter length attractions you want to do, it might be wiser to do them first. As long as you hit Splash within the first 45-60 minutes, the wait shouldn't be much at all if any.

Good to point out! We are headed right to Frontierland at rope drop, too, and I was debating over whether to do Splash or BTMRR first. I think I'll opt for the latter now since it's a shorter ride.
