Rope Drops at Each Park

I'm sorry if this is posted somewhere and I've missed it but I'm looking for information on how the rope drops work at each park. On our last trip, we weren't there for any rope drops and on our next trip, we are planning to Rope Drop each park.

Another question - when a park has morning EMH, how do the rope drop procedures change for those attending the EMH?

The only park that has a RD procedure is MK. Turnstiles will start to allow guests in 30-45 minutes before official opening, but only as far as waiting area been gates and tunnels under the train tracks, and then short opening event at about 15 minutes before opening, letting guests into the park at or sometimes just before top of hour. Sometimes at MK various CMs will "walk" the guests down main street and through the hub, holding guests at entrance to MK each land until exact time of opening. For the other parks the basic issue is when they open the gates and start to let guests in which may be exactly on the minute of official opening time, or beforehand, no real rhyme or reason as to the timing and what dates. EMH really does not change anything, except may or may not include the "official" opening event at MK.

Bottom line be at park at least 30 minutes before hand, or even earlier (60 to 90 minutes) if you want to be at the front of the line. We usually aim to leave resort one hour before opening, and positioned at gates (or inside holding area at MK) 30-40 minutes before opening, to get jump on those arriving just in time for opening. If you get there earlier sometimes can take advantage of getting head start into park including walk to MK lands, on busy park days of the year 15-30 minutes can really make a difference in getting on the busiest attractions with little or no wait.

30-45 minutes early would not generally be the case.
