We have done this many times and, being the fast walkers we are, been able to get to Soarin' at the same time as the first people who RD from the main entrance. But we haven't been to Epcot since it went under heavy construction - is it foolish to try to RD Soarin' now from the IG? I will definitely not know which way to go now and also it seems that there may be only one way, so even more of a bottleneck getting there. We are staying at BC and I've never noticed an Epcot bus, though maybe they do have them? Do wait times for Soarin' stay pretty stead throughout the day? Thanks for any tips.

No, there is no bus to the front of the park since one of the perks is being able to walk through the IG.

The route from IG to Soarin' is exactly the same as it always has been. The current construction does not affect that route. You pass by the construction walls (on your right) as you cut over by Imagination, but that's it.

Very helpful, thank you. I thought I had read that several pathways were blocked off in future world, so I'm happy to this.

This is true, but from the front of the park, not so much from the IG.
I have read that Disney has changed RD from the front so that guests are now held at Spaceship. Compared to coming from the IG, they have a slightly shorter route to Soarin'

Ooh, that's good info, thank you. I have experienced being held in Canada a few times, and also being let in and not held anywhere. Spaceship to Soarin' is definitely shorter than Canada to Soarin', even from the "front" of Canada closest to Future World, so we'll just have to see what happens on our days there.
