So normally my family and I never do rope drop. LOL, I have to get up at 4:30 am every day in my real life, wake me before 7:30 on vacation and some one might lose their life. :lmao:

But next for our next trip in August a big number of my family is going (at last count 12 definite, 18 yes). anyhoo, 5 of the cousins have never been before and are really excited so I thought I suggest a rope drop experience.

Which park would you pick for rope drop? I think I read here at one time some of the parks do little rope drop "ceremonies".

TIA

We were there in July and loved the MK rope drop show. HS had the frozen summer fun show also then, it was also fun, but I prefer MK. Have a great time.

I would suggest MK--but it can be hit or miss. If staying off site, and it is EMH, there wouldn't be a show for when they arrive for regular park opening.

And it gets packed like sardines. So in August, it may not be all it's cracked up to be in the heat and humidity, FYI.

Definitely Magic Kingdom! No other "opening ceremony" (if you even want to call it that) at other parks will compare. Some don't even really do them, like Animal Kingdom if I recall correctly. Look up the welcome show at MK on YouTube and you'll see what I mean! It's great!

Another vote for MK! You may wanna check before you go : it happened twice to us that there was no opening ceremony that morning...
