We have visited many times and done rope drop, late arrivals, and just around opening time arrivals. I thought maybe for first timers (and even myself because we haven't done any type of opening in a while) some specifics about what to expect would be helpful. Several years ago, my DD's were chosen to "open" AK and then we were actually at the front, against the rope and DD's were walking alongside the CM's with the rope. It was a fun experience but at one point I looked behind me and literally gasped and whispered to DH "do NOT look behind you". It appeared to be a massive sea of people all moving in one direction. I realize true rope drops barely exist now but what should people expect arriving so early? With FP+ causing a bigger push towards arriving pre-opening, I am sort of envisioning scenes from Godzilla, The Birds, The Blob.. you get what I mean
