We'll be there the last week of February just me and DH. Since we were there in June with the family this trip with just the two of us to celebrate my birthday and 25 work anniversary I want to take a stop and smell the roses approach. We have FP+ for SDMT, BTM, and Splash. We don't need to rush to Peter Pan or Pooh since we did that with the family in June. We'll either head to Tomorrowland or Adventureland. I know MK opens at 8:00 to let people in and the park opens at 9:00. So, since we aren't heading to Fantasyland do you think it's o.k. for us to be at the park later than 8:00? Say around 8:30?

Yes! You will be fine. My DH and I like to take a relaxed approach as well. In fact we don't do EMH anymore when it's just the two of us and we don't always get there for rope drop. The key is deciding how long you are willing to wait in line for things. In general we don't get in a line if the wait is any longer than about 20-25 minutes, we just find something else to do. We have enjoyed our time in the parks MUCH more since we have adopted this approach. You already have great FPs and since you aren't worried about Peter Pan this trip you should still be able to do a LOT of attractions without having to wait long. We find the more frequently we go the easier it is to take a relaxed approach.
