Rope Drop during Morning EMH?

Hi everyone!

On our last day, we're going to spend a couple hours at AK before driving to the airport, planning on getting there before 9am for "rope drop." We're staying off-site and the park opens at 8am for EMH. How does this typically work? Do you actually wait until 9am, or do they sometimes open up for off-site guests early, like they do at regular opening? Is there a welcome show?

We wouldn't normally visit the park with EMH, especially being off-site, but the crowd predictions are low that day and we'll only be there for a couple hours!

If the park has a.m. EMH and you can't take advantage of EMH, you're likely better off in another park.

As I said, it's our last day and it will only be for a couple hours and we'll have FP's. I realize it's not ideal.

I saw it in your post, but you also mentioned that the "crowd predictions are low that day". My point is that picking a recommended park over a non recommended park is probably MORE important on low crowd days than high crowd days.

If the overall crowd level is an 8/10 you may have one park a 10/10, one a 9/10 and two of them 8/10 so no matter which one you go to, it's going to be busy. Say the overall crowd level is a 3/10. Two of them may be a 2/10, one may be a 3/10 and one may be a 6/10. Picking the park that's 6/10 when you have better options isn't usually your best bet. Have a great time and sorry for offering additional info.

Actually, I was already referring to park crowd levels, rather than resort crowd levels. AK is the most recommended park that day, at 3/10, despite the EMH. MK is 6/10, EP is 5/10, and HS is 3/10, but we're skipping HS this trip. I'm pretty well-versed in reading crowd calendars, I was just wondering about the logistics of EMH as an off-site guest. Thanks.
