Rope Drop at International Gateway

This trip we would like to arrive before rope drop each day. I have heard 45-55 minutes prior to the park opening is sufficient. Do you recommend the same for International Gateway or closer to park opening? From what I understand, it isn't as crowded?

30 minutes early should do just fine during much of the year.

During extra-busy times, Epcot can open, unannounced, up to 30 minutes before the posted regular opening time. So, during Christmas, July 4th and Easter times, it might make sense to arrive 45 minutes early to the IG, just in case.
