Rooms that sleep 5 at Caribbean beach

Hi! I have a few questions about the new Caribbean beach rooms that now sleep 5,
My kids are 15, 11, and 6.
Is the extra bed a pull down bunk that only my 6 year old will fit on?
Are any of the sleep 5 rooms available in preferred locations of the resort? Like closest to the main pool in Martinique or N Trinidad?
Is it really tight for a family of 5?
We are trying to explore more reasonable options for a family of 5, other than deluxe level if anyone has advice. We have enjoyed staying in the deluxe hotels with day bed option but they are pretty pricey.
Thanks!

The fold down is only slightly larger than crib sized. So I would guess only your 6 year old would be comfortable on it. They rooms that hold 5 are scattered through out the resort, so you should be able to book a preferred room that will sleep 5.

Another option that sleeps 5 is POR. The rooms there that hold 5 are all in the preferred section of the resort.

If the day bed won't work for whoever you want to place on it, you can always bring an air mattress along. As long as you don't exceed the occupancy limit, they are allowed.

Here's a pic of an adult on the Murphy bed. Just so you have an idea of how big it is

Thanks for the info!

That's not 100% accurate. The entire Alligator Bayou section at POR can accommodate 5. There are 16 buildings that can accommodate 5 and only 4 of those are preferred.

How can I find out which rooms sleep 5? I'm hoping to find connecting rooms that each sleep 5 (only 8 people between the two rooms, but the kiddos can't share beds).

I don't know of any way to find out. I know they exist so request both connecting rooms with Murphy beds in each.

I see this re

I see this repeated a lot - but I have kids that are 16, 14 and 10, and they all have slept on the fold down beds at CBR, POR, Poly, BWV and BRV with no problem. Granted, the tallest of them is only 5'7", but we've never had a complaint.
