I know that CBR and POR have the murphy beds. Problem being my smallest child is 5'4, so we don't exactly fit into a bed or room like that. So...are there any Deluxe Rooms or Villas that fit 5 really well? I know in the past, my research had said Boardwalk Villas fits 5. Any others? Bay Lake? AKL?

I'd love to rent some points from an online seller and get the same price I would for a Moderate (which are crazy expensive right now).

We're a family of five, too, and we love renting DVC points! The murphy/fold down beds in the deluxe resorts are substantially bigger than the pull downs in the moderate resorts. My teenagers would definitely struggle in the moderate rooms, but they have no problem sleeping on the pull downs in the DVC studios. We love staying at the Boardwalk and are going back in two weeks! I know the Poly, GF, Beach Club, Boulder Ridge, and Riviera also sleep five.

The single Murphy beds at DVC studios like Boulder Ridge Villas, Riviera, Poly, Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk Villas, are decently long. I'm 5'7" and I could fit on it length wise. Per Disney, it is about 67 inches long.

Some of the Deluxe resorts have two queen beds and a fold down sofa that folds down to a single bed. Those have always looked shorter then the studio villa single Murphy beds, but that could be because of the arm rests.

The other fiver person sleeping options would be a family suite at All Star Music, a suite at Art of Animation, or the cabins at Fort Wilderness. Of those, Is pick the family suite at All Star Music because it basically has three queen beds.

To my knowledge the only DVC resorts that 2 "real" beds like at CBR and POR would be the Resort Studios at Grand Floridian. Everything else has either a pull-out/pull down couch queen with a twin bed that flips down in the deluxe studios and you can find those in the MK area at Poly (has 2 showers), Grand Floridian (has 2 showers), Boulder Ridge. You can find them in the Epcot area at Riviera (has 2 showers), Boardwalk and Beach Club.

Animal Kingdom, Copper Creek, Saratoga, Old Key West only sleep 4.

You might also consider a cabin at Ft. Wilderness that sleeps 6 but it is considered a 1 bedroom.

We prefer Bay Lake and Kidani 1 bedrooms for the extra bathroom but they do have the uncomfortable sofa and pullout chair beds.
Agreed if 1 bedrooms are in the budget. The chair bed is not bad though and is better imo than the couch one.

The DVC studio rooms with a DAY BED. Some will have a pullout queen coach updated resorts will have a queen murphy bed with the exception on the GF resort DVC rooms that have 2 queens and a day bed. With that the day bed in all but GF is under the TV sounds bad but really is not. It will fit a 5 4 person easily but have your expectations set. I have personally laid in them as a 5 11 adult and did not find them uncomfortable but there is not a lot of wiggle room. You are fine unless you are child is stuck on a full size twin bed. The day beds at the GF are out in the open and will feel larger but really are not. You will have a choice of resorts: BC, BW, Boulder ridge at Wilderness lodge, GF -both sides have them- POLY and RIV (not tower rooms). Personally with 5 my list would be Poly for the extra shower If not GF Resort room for the 2 queens GF DVC side is fine as well and Boulder ridge. Boulder ridge will offer you the most space and lowest price. The others are smaller rooms especially BW - I enjoy this resort but the studios and all are noticeably smaller 5 will be tight.

Of the DVC Studios, BoardWalk is actually 3 square feet larger than both Beach Club and Boulder ridge although they share a very similar layout.

The largest DVC Studios on property that sleep 5 are the Poly and the Grand Floridian "Resort" studio that has the 2 real queen beds but only has 1 shower. The next closest would be the Riviera.

I agree with you pick of the Poly. Mine would be that or the Riviera as they both have 2 showers and are good size if having to budget for a studio.

Family of 5 here. We own at BLT and fit comfortably in a 1BR there. We have stayed at BWV - We fit in a 1BR OK there but they only have 1 bathroom and you have to bring bedding for the 5th (2 share the pull-out couch). We aslo splurged on our last stay and stayed in a 2br CCV - probably our favorite of anywhere we've stayed, but 5 will not fit in a studio or 1 br there.

I take it you do not own DVC - have you looked into AoA 1br suites? Those are fantastic. Full king in the bedroom, pull-out couch in the front room and a murphy in the dining area, plus 2 bathrooms. We loved it.

If you are looking at DVC studios. GF, Poly, Boulder ridge (NOT copper creek), BW, BC and Riveria all fit 5. They have a queen, a Murphy bed (MUCH more comfortable vs pull out couch) and a pull out twin under the TV.

A regular resort room at Beach Club. You can request a room with a sofa that converts into a daybed. I think if you’re a party of 5 you’re pretty much guaranteed a room with the daybed.

Poly regular resort rooms are the same too. Or at least they were when we stayed there a few years ago.

Pretty sure the bedroom has a queen and not a king. I think the pull out and Murphy are both doubles, but I had children on those so can't say for sure. Still the two bathrooms and separate sleeping area were nice. And we're huge skyliner fans as well so it was one of our favorite resorts overall.

I would look into the Family Suites at All Star Music. Sleeps 6 and 2 bathrooms.

If you wanted deluxe, Id look at renting DVC points.

I think you are right - it's been a while. we expected "Value" and it was a lot nicer than that.
