Rooms During Stay

Quesstion is this

I am waiting for approval on a Ebay Timeshare purchase and have already started trying to figure things out.

Suppose we are staying for 2 weeks and first week it is just 2 of us I know that we would just get a studio. But suppose during our stay the Daughters ( 2 ) show up with husbands and one stays for 10 days and both stay for 7 days. Can your expand and contract as needed. Are they so joined to do this or do you have to move with each change.

If you are asking can you move from a studio after the first few nights into a two bedroom for the remainder of your trip? Yes you can do that. Member services will link the reservations so that the correct number of points are used. Is that what you mean?

If you mean all of a sudden on day four you need more space, that would depend on availability.

You can schedule what you want day by day, any resort, any size unit limited only by your points and availability. You can have a studio then a 2 BR if you want. While you can link the reservations and ask not to be moved, there is no way to guarantee this. There are ways to minimize the risk though.

Keep in mind also that most of us reserve 11 months out for high occupancy times. This would make availability difficult last minute.

Are you talking about purchasing a contract through E-Bay and planning for future trips or are you talking about taking over someone's NYE reservation? If you are taking over a NYE reservation, I wouldn't count too heavily on being able to change what you already have booked. Also, the changes would have to be made by the member you are booking from.

Not real clear in my quesstion last night so I think this is it!! I hope!

Let me try this:

Day one thru six just two people and only need a studio. On day seven daughter and husband are due to show up. At this point I would like to expand to the 1 bedroom suite. On day ten my other daughter and boyfriend are due to show up for the rest of the vacation. Total 14 days!

Okay, I know that you have to schedule ahead and I intend to do so. But here is what I am asking.

Are the rooms configured that by opening doors they can expand from a studio to a 1 bedroom and then to a 2 bedroom??

Or are they all self contained living areas. I did the tour a couple of years ago and I thought that the studios could be expanded to 1 bedroom.

If this makes sense now maybe someone could tell me the answer. Thanks in advance.

No the studio does not expand into a one bedroom. In a lock-out unite, the one bedroom and the studio create a 2 bedroom. The scenerio that you mentioned would involve changing rooms when you wanted a one bedroom, and would probably entail changing when you went to the 2 bedroom. You can request to be allowed to stay in the same one bedroom part of the unit when you move to the 2 bedroom, but it would only be a request, and is not guaranteed.

The studio and the 1 bedroom together make a 2 bedroom. Therefor, if you go from a studio to a 1 bedroom you have to move, the connecting door of the studio is a one bedroom, therefore, if you open the door you know have a 2 Bedroom. You could expand from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom however.

It can be done from a studio to a 2 BR or a 1BR to a 2BR but I don't think (I don't have personal experience here, I'm just trying to make sense of it in my head so take this for what that's worth) you will be able to go from a studio to a 1BR then to a 2BR without moving. I have gone from a studio to a two bedroom without having to move. They just opened the door. The 1BR has a king bed and no kitchenette area so you would have to move out of the studio portion and into the 1BR section. Then they would have to open the door back up to the studio again when you are ready for the 2BR.

We are Disney Freaks and both daughters and their husband/boyfriend are hooked. We have been Dolphin people but like this concept and well thanks for your quick response. I am going to go thru when we are down for NYE to help me visualize but I do understand now. Thanks
