rooms at WL

Already paid rack rate for our room at WL. (I have learned alot) Any suggestions on making the best of the lodge. Best rooms? Possible upgrades?

What view do you have? Standard, woods or courtyard.

Upgrades seem to be totally random. Some people report just getting upgraded without asking, others request at checkin, I guess you never know.

We loved the WL! Great choice. If you have a standard view reserved, I would ask at check in if they have a room with a castle view. There are some that are still considered standard and if high enough up you can see part of the fireworks and the Contemporary. We tried to get a lobby room ~ one that opened up to the lobby overlook instead of into a hallway, but they couldn't accomodate that request for us that day. We did get our other requests: N/S, high floor, castle view.

Also, if interested, ask at check in to see if you can be the flag family. If you are you get to go up to the rooftop (beautiful view) early morning and raise the flags. You'll get your picture taken too.

Go out to the pool/grassy area early in the morning (around 9am) and you may see the duck families and the bunnies hopping around.

We paid for the woods view with the AP rate last August. When we arrived I learned we had been upgraded to courtyard view. Very nice. We had 3 rooms and all rooms were upgraded to courtyard. Loved it.

Like TigrLvsPooh said...when are your dates? We have ressies for WL also but will probably cancel if new codes don't come out. The codes have only been released for up to April 16th. Keep an eye out here or look on Mousesavers.com. I check daily although they probably won't be out until Feb. or March. Hope you can get out of paying Rack Rate!
