Hey I am going to be staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs (Two Bedroom) Do anyone know of a good room or room number thier with a great view of Downtown Disney while being very close to the main Buldings & Main pool?

I was thinking if I stayed on the 4 floor near the main buliding, maybe i can see downtown dinsey

I told Kelly to take a look at your thread she is at SSR right now and might be able to help.

I am typing this from Saratoga.. We checked in last night for our first visit home.

I havent spent alot of time in the resort but we are in Congress Park and it has great views of DTD. I don't think you can get both views of DTD and be near the main building but I will check it out for you tomorrow and let you know.

Also, there is a long thread on the DVC boards all about SSR, you may want to check there as well.

You will want to request a room in Congress Park for a view of Downtown Disney. I suggest you call DVC Member Services or CRO and have them put a request in your reservation for a view of DTD. It won't guarantee you a room view of DTD, but it will help your chances.

Congress Park is not real close to the main pool (High Rock Spring). You couild walk to it, but its certainly not right outside your door. Congress Park has a quiet pool if you are so inclined to use it. If you want to be close to High Rock Spring pool and the Carriage House (main building) you should request a room in the Springs section.

Here's a link with more information.

Thank You, do you know of any good room numbers to request for a 2 Bedroom with the view of DTD near the Congress Park bulliding pool, Parking Lot & bus stop?

Also how far to you think the walk or drive would be from the Congress Park bullidings to the main spring buliding area?

Am just undecided about which is better to stay at. The Congress Park or Spring buliding.

Thanks

The walk from Congress Park to the Carriage House is not long, maybe 5 - 8 minutes depending on which end of Congress Park you are coming from. The drive of course is less. Congress Park is also a close walk to DTD, maybe 12 - 15 minutes. The Springs area does not have a DTD view. As for a room number, I can't help you there as I don't keep track of our room numbers when we stay. We usually just request to stay in Congress Park with DTD view.

Even if somebody suggests a room number, you probably don't want to specify that when making a room request. The chances are high that a particular room will already be occupied when you arrive and the room assigner will have no idea why you asked for that room.

Instead, simply ask for a room on an upper floor with a view to DTD but close to the main building. That tells the room assigner what's important to you and they will do their best to accommodate you.

We have stayed in the Congress Park section and we loved it. We sorta had a view of DTD, super close to a quiet pool and the walk to the main building was only 5-8 minutes. The walk to DTD was probably closer to 10 minutes but it was such a nice walk.

This was our buildling -

This was along the walkway to DTD -

And this was the courtyard view from our balcony -

The quiet pool was directly behind this courtyard and the walkway to DTD behind the pool. If I had to take a guess I'd guess that we were in either the 2100-2400 area based on looking at the SSR Map.

Thank you for all the reply's with the the information and pictures, they really help me pick where to request to stay.

Does anyone know if there are any studios in congress park with a view of downtown disney?
