Just curious...has anyone heard back about roommate matching? I have an arrival date of 1/26/11, have not a heard a thing. Anyone else from that date know anything yet?

thanks...

I heard back about a week ago, and I arrive on the 26th. But I'm also in wellness housing, so our circumstances might be different.

Ok so i have a question about the "Roommate Matching" on the DCP website... i was looking into doing this but then i wasnt sure if once i am assigned a "match" if I'm able to say that i do or don't want this person as my roommate? Or is it like set in stone that once i go through the process of getting into the roommate matching that im stuck with that person? I'm just worried about clashing personalities/beliefs and want the option to switch if need be.

Thanks!!!

TO GIVEALITTLEWHISTLE: I am also a little older...and am still waiting on a reply...just wanted to know if there will be "others" in my age range?!>!

If you can't get in contact with the person or you feel that the two of you won't get along, you can always reset yourself in the system and either be matched with a new person and go through the process again or you can select your own roommate.

unless things have changed, not everyone who asks to be matched will be. they only allow a limited number of matches for each date. this enables someone to break a match and be matched again with someone different. I'd also assume that this gives housing some flexibility during check-in to fill up empty spots in apartments.

the only place where age plays a factor is if someone is over or under 21. not if they are much older or anything like that.

send a message to housing to be sure about all of this.
