Does anyone have a Roomba? If so, does it do a good job? I am very interested in this new gadget and would love to have one of, but I am skeptical about how well they work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Dan. It seems that is a lot less expensive in the U.S. than in Canada. Maybe I'll check them out the next time I am in Orlando.

When we were in VA a few weeks ago visiting my SIL and BIL, they got one and used it for the first time. It cleaned pretty well, but it really would take a long time for it to keep going and going enough to get a medium sized room ALL swept up. If you like gadgets and have the money, then I'd say to get it because it did pick up the dust, cat hairs, etc that you couldn't even see! But personally, I'd rather just sweep or vacuum myself and get it overwith rather than having this thing running around like a crazy little robot. LOL

P.S. They had the "upgraded" version that had a remote with it, so a few times my SIL had to "steer" it towards some dust and coffee grounds, because the Roomba can't see anything, and if it's in the process of doing its' patterned route around the room, it can keep going by the dirt and could take a long time for it to eventually make its' path go over it and get it. Like I said, it did a good job of picking up, but it'd frustrate me to have this thing running around the on the ground like that, taking a while to completely cover the area of the floor. I'd rather do it myself and be done with it in 2 minutes. But, that's just me.

A great way to torment the cats...
