I have booked 1 br lakeview but on waitlist for mk view , i really hope i get my waistlist but i am going to request a couple specific rooms of the lakeview i want to request 8410, or 7910k, anyone have a take on these two room #?

..I'd imagine you have less than a 30% (2/7) chance of getting either room #, perhaps much less if requests get jumbled up due to room ready. The reason I say that is you are hoping that either room is being vacated the day you arrive.

I think a more general request such as "high, near MK view" or High with Poly view" would have a greater chance of being granted. Expecting a specific room seems to be a good way of setting up your vacation for disapointment.

I think that 30% is way generous. The odds of you getting a specific room number means that someone checks out of the exact lake view room that you requested. If it happens, I would jump on a plane to Vegas fast.

If you are hoping for a partial MK view on Bay Lake view points, ask for a high floor with an even number room. Will give you a much better chance than asking for a specific room #.

I stayed in 7908 last week and 7910 is right next door. From the balcony of 7908 I had a complete view of the MK, although if I stayed inside I could only see the lake. So, I would imagine that 7910 would offer the possibility of catching some of Space Mountain from inside the room.

My take is for less points you can experience the same firework show albeit from your balcony. For me the 15-20 mins isn't worth the extra points of a MK view.

If you can't get an MK view, no worries! Just go up to the TOWL for the best view in town.

we had room 7512 standard view one bedroom BUT we had a Magic Kingdom view to the left and a lake view to the right....PERFECT ROOM and near the walk way to contemporary.

After looking at their photos I see why you'd be interested in these rooms. I think I might pick one of them and then for my second request give a more general statement like "the highest room possible on the north facing bay lake".

I agree - the odds on getting a specific room stink. The other problem you have is that if the specific room is not available (and by the odds it probably won't be) then there's nothing for the room assigner to fall back on and they could put you anywhere within the room category you booked. If your heart is set on a specific area you'd probably do better to describe that area in terms as general as possible.

That, or make a request for a specific room and then a backup general request. You could get lucky and get the room. But I would not make two requests for two specific rooms.

I don't understand why those two rooms were "lake view" rooms. It seems to me they should be MK views?
