Room upgrade wishes

the only "dream" i got during my recent vacation was being upgraded from standard view to savannah view at AKL. We got there and asked the lady if there was a possibility and she said we were already upgraded. We have a sneaking suspision that the man at the ME got it for us but who knows...

So has anyone been upgraded from a moderate? It seems like it is only values and deluxes.
