Room Service?

Anyone know what the prices are, roughly for the beer and or water packages? Do they 'rip you' on them, or are they fair priced? Also, on that, I asked somewhere else, what about the bars? What are the prices for drinks and stuff there?

On the last cruise we went on (December 2007) the miller lite case was about $100 and the evian water case was around $35. i don't think the bars were that astronomical in regards to drinks - and the drink of the day was about one dollar cheaper than the others.:woohoo:

We paid $40 for an Evian 24-pack, which is obviously higher than in a store. But it depends on how you define "ripped-off" - we didn't have to lug it with us to the ship, pack it in the car, etc. The convenience was worth it for me.

We got several cases when on the Repo.... Our room steward just kept them in a small cooler we brought along with ice... it was great and we always had ice water to drink.

so i guess that means you cant order something to be left in your room for when you get back from an outing....hope the wait isn't long, dont want to
be stuck in the room....

The Mickey bars would be melted... :sad2:

Sometimes it was 20 minutes... sometimes longer... NEVER more than 1/2 an hour and I ordered it several times on our cruise.

$2 per time for us... we didn't order too much...

They are very, very fast!:thumbsup2

so i guess that means there are no mini fridges?

The "mini fridges" in the rooms are "coolers" more so than fridges! They will not keep things cold like a fridge. We like to put a ziplock bag full of ice in ours and that does seem to help keep things colder! :thumbsup2

Do they have ice machines dispersed about the ship, or do you have to get ice from the beverage station.

No ice machines as your stateroom host will get it for you. We always had it morning and again in the evening but you can request more often if need be.

You could go get some from the beverage station but I will tell you, on days at sea, it was hard to keep ice in those machines. :sad2: Not sure if the demand was too high or kids we taking and wasting or what
I would just ask your stateroom host for some!:thumbsup2
