Have you used Room Service on the Disney Dream? What do you do after finishing? Call room service again to pick up the trays? Leave the trays for your stateroom host to clear? Do you tip again when the trays are picked up? I have seen trays left on the floor in the halls, but that doesn't seem like a good way to handle the trays. Advice?
Thanks.

we just keep the tray in our room and it magically disappears the next day ;):goodvibes

Out of courtesy and only if I got thru straight away, I would call the RS number and let them know the tray will be in the hall once I was finished.

If they don't come to pick them up, then your Stateroom Host will.

I would however make sure that my tray isn't blocking the hallway for anyone trying to pass. i.e if someone else has a tray left outside next to or opposite, put my plates and cutlery on top, and my tray underneath. Or you can always just leave it in your Stateroom if you don't mind the space it takes up and your SRH will clear it for you in the morning/evening.

I would not tip again for collecting the tray, the tip was paid for the delivery of the food/snacks, and they "should" sweep the hall's for trays afterwards.

According to Room Service, we were told just leave the tray outside your door when finished. I imagine the room steward takes care of it from there.

Yup. This is standard for room service pretty much everywhere.
You can leave it in the room for your room host, but it's really not their job.

You can call room service and ask that it be picked up (in which case you must be in the room--they can't enter if you don't answer) or you can place it in the hall. THey do a hall patrol pick up several times each day. And if you leave it in your room, the host will make it disappear.

I appreciate the narrowness of the hallways especially concerning for guests with disabilities for example, but I understand this to be the industry standard in hotels. It's what we've always done everywhere generally.
