room service ? - can we get everything that is on ship but not on room service?

Ive read that we can have other items besides what is on the room service menu delivered to our room. What exactly CANT we have delivered?

I believe if you are staying in concierge level then you can get any item off the regular dining room menus delivered to your room. However for the rest of us its just the room service menu.

We did have an exception to this on our first cruise though. DS(then 3) decided to have a meltdown right before our dinner in Tritons, while we were trying to get a picture done. It ended in a big fiasco and we never made it to the dining room. We went to our stateroom and ordered regular room service. About 5 minutes later there was a knock at our door. We thought "Wow, thats fast!", but it was our regular waiter with some Tritons food for us. Boy did we have a lot of food that night!

Camcolt - Did you informed them you would not be able to dine at Tritons that night? I was just wondering how they knew you were in your cabin and not at Palo's.

oh man - I had been promising DS room service pizza when DH & I go to Palos
these threads are confusing sometimes

There IS pizza on the room service menu, which can be delivered to any room. There is also pizza available at Pinnoccios on Deck 9. You should have no problems having pizza delivered via room service to your room for your DS.

I thought maybe if I doublechecked the room serv menu I might find pizza - it's pepperoni, right? thanks

We had extended family on the trip with us. They called our room to see if we were going to make it to the dining room(dont know what phone they used???) but when we told them no, Im sure they must have informed the servers that we werent coming.

Yes, pizza is on the room service menu (I think three different types)...but my dh preferred the pizza from Deck 9 (pinocchio's).

Also, last year I REALLY wanted a fried chicken salad, which is not on the menu. I knew that both salad chicken fingers are on the menu, so I asked if they could make a fried chicken salad...after being told an apolgetic no, I decided to order the salad and fingers, then make my own. So...you can sometimes get items not on the menu...if you are creative!
