Room Service breakfast in concierge?

Is this available on the DREAM? If so are hot entrees available?

Yes there is a limited hot menus same as served in the MDR, but personally I would recommend you use the concierge lounge, lots of great times in there for breakfast, and it's a great atmosphere not crowded and you have your hosts to plan the day.

is there a breakfast menu available on line anywhere? other than the continental breakfast. i remember some kind of pancake tower with a slice of pineapple that was scrumptous but that is all i remember.

I would totally use the cl. It is quiet and very peaceful. Often we were the only ones in there:goodvibes. For breakfast the food choices were good but limited. Cold cereal options, mini muffins, some fruit, I loved the museli . Plus there is a nice coffee machine with fancy coffee drinks. I had a hot chocolate every a.m. Dh had a latte type of drink. Enjoy your cruise! pixiedust:

All room categories can get continental breakfast items from room service for breakfast. My understanding is that only people in 1-bedroom suites and the Royals can get hot items for breakfast.

It has always bugged me that you can't just Google "Suite Amenities" for Disney Cruise Line. The other cruise lines list all of their amenities....I wish Disney would, it would make it a lot easier to know exactly what you're paying for and what you'll be able to enjoy.

Of course I'm not the definitive source, but I compiled a list for the Dream class ships. It's on page 2 of my trip report (link below). There is a list of amenities on the DCL site, but it's not complete.

That's what I'm saying. We've cruised in suites on Disney 8 times, and in suites on NCL several times. NCL lists ALL of their suite amenities, but Disney never has done that. I think it would be in their best interest if they did.

How does ordering room service from the MDR in concierge work? It seems like you have to go down to the concierge lounge and ask, and they have specific windows they can deliver it during? Can you call concierge to order? Or call room service directly to order? Can you order from multiple MDRs, or just one?

We currently have late dining, and we're trying to decide if switching to the earlier seating makes sense. One idea was to just order something (an appetizer or whole meal) from room service during the late afternoon or early dinner seating for anyone who didn't want to wait.

(We have a T and the connecting V, in case that matters)

You would just call room service. They know what room you're calling from, so they'll know that you have the option of ordering from the MDR's.

If they have a problem and can't or won't take your order, then you can call concierge for help.

We ordered dinner through one of the concierge hosts. They have the current day's menus for all three MDRs in the lounge. We looked at all the menus and decided to go with Royal Palace. I'm sure you could call, but it was nice to have the menus in front of us when ordering. We were given two "delivery windows." We didn't order hot breakfast, so I'm not sure whether that process would be any different. That was one of my few regrets after our September cruise, but I had forgotten about that perk until we got home. That's one of the things that motivated me to try to compile a comprehensive list of concierge amenities.

They used to have binders with all of the menus in each suite stateroom.....usually tucked in a cabinet of the end table by the sofa.

Do they not do this anymore? :confused3

One friend that I cruise with would look through the nights' menu to see what they were serving for dessert, so she'd know whether or not she wanted a main course. :lmao:

I agree with you 100% -- anyone willing to pay the premium to stay in concierge should know exactly what perks they're entitled to! The only explanation I can think of is that, by not listing all of the perks in writing, it's easier to discontinue something and then say that it was never guaranteed to be available.

If we had the menus in our room, I wasn't aware of it. Just another example of DCL not giving us all of the information we need to make use of the available amenities! At no point was the option of ordering from the MDRs even mentioned to us during the cruise. I only knew from reading the DIS!

That's pretty sad. The concierge team always used to come to our room sometime on the first day of the cruise, or early on the second day...to check in with us, and that's when they'd show us where the menus were, if we hadn't already found them ourselves. Because really, it saves them a ton of phone calls from guests wanting to order...or meeting people in the lounge just so they can order....and of course people are going to want to see a menu.

Maybe they're trying on purpose to not have people take advantage of that perk....

Perhaps its because their complete list of concierge amenities would fall short of those other lines??? ;)

Assuming you were above a V, it wasn't on the sheets of paper given to you when you met your concierge (assuming you were on Dream or Fantasy)? I doubt it's on ours, but we had a V.

I didn't google, but I did a search for "concierge" on DCL. Click into Royal Suite or 1-bedroom and it gives a fairly decent list/group of paragraphs.

And the list here eliminates things like the dining options as is correct.

We were in a cat T and the option of ordering from the MDRs was not on the printed list of amenities that we were given. We sat with one of the concierge hosts in the lounge during the welcome reception and it wasn't discussed then either.
