To be fair, they have always had the right - and could well have been doing them. They are just being more transparent now.

They could have entered your room before now. Now they are just being a bit more blunt about telling you they can do it.

Yeah... they won't tell you. On our last day at AKL a woman from housekeeping did our security check and she told us that she had to make sure that all of the lights were working. My husband jokingly told her that he was planning to steal all of the lightbulbs. She didn't laugh. I mean really... if you're going to lie about it, at least come up with something that makes sense.

For DVC, they claim they are collecting your trash. Because they are so worried about the trash piling up. Of course they didn't worry about it for the first 25 years.
