I know this topic is a little controversial on these boards....but to those of you who do fax in room requests- when do you send them in? We are leaving in 2 weeks- Thanks!
:cool1:

The consensus on these boards is that Disney was getting so overwhelmed with fax requests that they no longer read them. Have your requests added to your reservation so they will be in the Disney computer system.

I agree. Make sure your requests are in your reservation and they you don't have to worry whether they match a piece of paper with your requests up with your reservation.

In the past, we've sent in our request to the room assignor 3 days before we arrive.

Yes, there have been many reports on the DIS about the faxes no longer being reviewed. I just read a post over on the YC & BC FAQ thread and a CM is recommending to a poster that she puts the request on her reservation, but also contacts the resort directly 3-5 days prior to arriving. The question has been asked if a fax is acceptable, but the CM has not responded yet. Unfortunately, I don't know if this is a front desk CM though and this person might not be aware of any recent changes in procedure.

I guess if it's on your reservation and you just follow up a few days prior to arriving, it wouldn't hurt.

Just realize that you may be calling the number for the resort but you may be talking to someone in a call center. Most times you aren't talking to someone actually at the resort.
