Good evening...this April/May my DH and DS 2 will be spending 5 nights at OKW. This will be our first stay at this resort and are looking for suggestions on what area of the resort we should request. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Great question. I am looking for that same answer. Let's see what happens.
Also, don't you wonder if they have an assortment of villas in each building or are the studios in one while the one bedrooms are in another location?:confused3

There are studios, 1 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms in every building. Grand Villas are only in certain buildings. There is a map, maybe someone can post it.

Need more info to make a suggestion.

Will you have a car?
Will you use the busses to the parks?
Do you plan to use the main pool, quiet pool or neither?
Would you want to use the counter service at the main building?
Is view important? Golf view, water view, canal view?
If DVC reservation, is it for "near HH" category?

In my case, I always had a car and preferred Turtle Pond Road because it was quieter. Could hop in the car to get to the main building. Nice golf & water views.

thank you for the quick reply. there is a map but I am not sure how to post it here. I was told the following and after checking the map I have to agree with my friend's assessment. What do you think?

"The nicest views, IMHO, are in buildings 45 and 46. They overlook the Sassagoula River and are peaceful and beautiful. Other good views are Building 16, which overlooks the golf course. Building 33 has a pretty fountain view. 27 and 28 on Pennisular Road have nice pond and fountain views. Try to stay away frm South Point Road. It's a long way from everything. Now - here are the buildings to avoid: 21, 22, 38, 39, 41 49 and 50. These are buildings closest to the Parkway and the traffic noise can be annoying. If you want to be very close to Hospitality House the very best building is 62 - however lots of people know this - and it's hard to get into."

Thanks again :)

Yes we will have a car as we are drivig down but would like to use the busses to at least go to MK and the boats to DTD. So you can just drive up and park near HH house to use the trasportation? As for the pool we're not huge pool people, yeah we'll probably use it once. And not looking to use the counter service at HH. Is it worth askig for once view over another? And it is a DVC reservation...should be book the near HH category? Thanks:)

If anyone in your family is a light sleeper, I would try and avoid the buildings that have the most bus noise. We were assigned a studio in building 14, which was right by the main road that every bus rode on - we couldn't believe how loud the buses were. There are also buildings scattered throughout the resort that are right by the bus turnaround areas - I would avoid those also.

We just spent a week in a dedicated 2 bedroom in building 46, and it was perfect. Beautiful view, and no noise from the buses.
