Are there any room requests that I should make for a standard 2 queen room at HRH? This will be our first stay and we are so excited!! I was hoping to upgrade the room but as of now, only the standard 2 queen is available. I usually request top floor at most standard hotels because I am light sleeper and hate the noise above but I am guessing the suites are on the upper floors. Any HRH room requests that will get us a better location or room would be great!!

I'm not sure where the standard rooms are located because we have always had garden view rooms. I do know the top floor is club level. We just stayed at HRH last month and had a third floor room. Usually we like to be as high as possible, but this floor was great for us. It's the same level as the lobby so we rarely ever took the elevator. We were towards the end of the hallway so we just used the stairs to go down when we headed to the parks or pool. This saved so much time. We never heard noise from the rooms next to or above us. Everything about our stay was great.

Thanks for sharing! I never even thought about being able to avoid the elevator and that would be a huge perk for us as well! With this being our first trip, its hard to know what to ask for and avoid.

I think the standard rooms tend to over look the roof of the lobby and lower levels etc.. That what I have seen from others and also on my recent stay.
I would ask NOT be near the ice machines if possible - that can be annoying to say the least - I was across from the ice machine - but since I was in my room on check in day at noon on a Thursday during HHN I was not going to complain
