We have booked a 2 bedroom at BCV for the middle of October. D(dh, ds(age4), me and parents). I REALLY need advice on what room requests I should make. We would love to have a good view for the Fantasmic show....is it possible? We need nonsmoking , but other than that I don't know of any other requests! I would APPRECIATE any advice anyone could give!! Itsour first trip and I would like to make it as special as possible. With mom and dad along I know they would like to view some of the fireworks form the room, probabely ds too!!

THANKS!!!

You won't be able to see Fantasmic from BCV. You might be able to get an Epcot view, but that may also be a roadway view and you need a higher room. A water view will probably be a pool view and that is pretty good.

So ask for a non-smoking Epcot view or non-smoking pool view. Some people also like the courtyard view.

The Epcot view may allow you to see Illuminations fireworks.

I agree with Deb, I've never heard of a Fantasmic view from here and don't think it is possible.

Here is a link with some room reports and it will give you some view comments. http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/beachclub.pdf
As others have said, asking for a specific room and getting it is slim. This will give you an idea of “sectional views”.

The files are in adobe acrobat and which can be downloaded from this site for free:

Good luck

BCV has, basically, stopped pre-assigning rooms. When you check in you will be assigned an available room. BCV is presently about 100% filled, depending on when you check in you may (or may not) have a choice.

I just got back (8/24 checkin) and had to wait for a room. I understand some people (CRO reservations not DVC) were being walked. I asked about BWV but that was also sold out. I understand they had to take a few units out due to water damage.

I have just got back from a 2 week stay at the BCV room 268. There are no rooms that you can see illuminations or Fantasmic from and the rooms facing Epcot are near the busy road or overlook trees. We asked for a non smoking pool view with a large balcony and got all three requests. The room was really quiet and you could see the turtles and aligator in the canal every morning from the balcony. Also all three rooms had doors out onto the balcony which ran the width of the whole unit.
Seeing the fireworks is not a problem, if you walk to stormalong bay or out that side of the hotel you will see them clearly. Also Epcot is literally only a 5 minute walk from the BCV. We saw the fireworks most nights, often without intending to which was great.
I hope you have a great trip. The BCV is a beautiful place and we will deffinately be going back there.

Lewisc,

Just curious about the water damage?

Not sure if was a broken pipe or guests leaving balcony doors open. There was a driving, blowing rain one afternoon. I got soaked while undercover at MK monorail station.

floridafam check PM.

Thanks for the great info! I meant the Illuminations not fantasmic, guess my mind was already there!! We''ll probabely request non smoking poollview and balcony. I really don't want to be on the road!!
