We're taking our first trip"home" to VWL in June. WHen I made the ressies for a studio, I wasn't prepared when MS asked me for any requests I had. I thought of non-smoking and also woods view. But aren't just about all the studios woods view? Any other recommendations?

On our last stay we had a 2 bdrm lock-off which is a studio and an adjoining 1 bdrm. We were not only overlooking the pool we also had a decent view of the lake. I believe the majority of the Villas have a woods view, but there are a few that aren't limited to that.

We spent 1 night on the "pool side" of the woods before our 3 day cruise and was on the 3rd or 4th floor. It was fine. Then when we returned we were on the ground floor a few doors down from the back exit by "muscles & bustles". The ground floor pluses are no elevators, and that location was close to the atrium. It was a really good spot. However, if you are the modest type, beware! I love to open the curtains and let in ALL that Florida sunshine. One morning a gardiner walked past our doors and that dreadful morn of Sept 11th we had a guy with a cell phone (for reception purposes, I'm sure) lurking right outside our room. Me with very little on, I might add. Oh well! I'm never gonna see these people again, right? LOL! But, there appear to be VERY few rooms with an "ideal" view. I would hope for ANY room except for the ones overlooking the dumpsters. That's where they put us initially until the wonderful CM decided there were enough vacant rooms that we need not be "put" there.:) And "non-smoking" I would try to get. Another thing we got by "mistake". The room really did stink. It smelled of air freshener and we opened the door and turned the fan on, but it still stunk! We loved VWL so much that we added on there. We go back in April, can't wait.
